- 3D Images from 2D Photos: AI uses nerve-racking field technology to generate 3D images from 2D pictures, offering a deeper view of various cities worldwide.
Chris Phillips, Vice President and General Manager of Google's Geographic Department, stated, "AI has truly enhanced our mapping capabilities."
2. Enhanced Search on Google Maps
Google noticed that users tend to search for specific activities in a particular area rather than using general search terms. Therefore, Google Maps has been updated to provide more detailed information categorized by themes. For instance, if you want to find entertainment activities in Tokyo, Google Maps will suggest themes like "anime," "cherry blossoms," and "art exhibitions" for you to explore in detail.
3. Expanded Lens Map
The Lens Map feature, previously known as "Search with Live View," has been expanded to 50 more cities. This feature allows you to use your phone's camera to scan buildings around you. 4. Expanded Immersive View
Google has also expanded the "Immersive View" feature to various cities, such as Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco. In the near future, images of buildings and streets will be expanded to 12 other countries.
